This is my first cover art created for a comic book, to be released sometime this year or next.

This piece was created in Painter and Potoshop and I can't remember how long it took. Photo textures were used in the background and for appendages on characters. Character is fully painted, mostly using Painter.

I had to ask friends to pose for me in order to get more accurate lighting and shadows and to help witht the anatomy. It was really fun to do and a bit challenging at times, since it was my first.

But I'm glad to say it generated more work in comics. A field I've passioante aout since I was little. So I'll post more whenever I get permission.

cheers

I painted this a few weekends ago. It's a pin up illustration I'm going to display at the San Diego Comic Con. I intend to do more of these in the future.

Some mechanical parts in the back were modeled in 3DMax first, and I used it as base to create the machine. The girl and all the rest is fully painted. I was undecided if the machine should be a mech or a futuristic jet fighter so it turned out to be a little bit of both .
It has a little bit of a story going, but still very lose, leaving room for imagination.
When I was cropping the image to make a thumbnail I ended up with a prety neat compostiiton too. It's not a widescreen format (which I love doing) but a nice composition nonetheless:

Here is some personal work, one of the pieces I've worked on in the past few months. The first serious attempt on illustrating the human form up close, balancing anatomy with dynamic comic book action.

It was fully painted in photoshop over a sketch I drew of myself.

I'm making a point to post more often from now on. This community is a pitch stop for inspiration and perhaps one of the reasons why work doesn't get done
